The Airplane
The airplane is the machine that allows humans to fly. The invention of this amazing machine has been attributed to the Wright brothers. The Wright brothers achieved the first controlled and powered human flight on December 17 1903. This essentially was the birth of the airplane. The airplanes that we see in our skies today are essentially an extremely high tech version of the Wright brother’s flying machine. The new planes still have the same wing concept, and a newer more advanced version of the Wright brother’s three access controls. I feel that the airplane is an excellent invention that revolutionized the way that humans travel. Today the airplane is one of the most, if not the most efficient and fastest way for humans to travel long distances. The airplane allows humans to travel long distances in a fraction of the time it took before. This is because the airplane can travel much faster than any car or boat. As well it doesn’t to travel around obstacles like other vehicles thus it can travel in a straight line to its destination. Many of the same qualities that make the airplane an excellent travailing machine contribute to making it an excellent combat machine. The plane allows armies to carry a vast amount of weapons over a long distance and attack a target easily and accurately. This is why I believe that the invention of the airplane is one of our greatest advancements in travel and battle.
